Fund your agents

Give each AI agent its own wallet with a little money in it. What's in the wallet is all it can ever spend — so if an agent gets confused or tricked, the most you lose is its balance. Top them all up in one go when they run low.

Your money, never oursMoney goes from you to your agents, through Coinbase or your own wallet. Tollkit never holds money or keys.
You set the limitAn agent can only spend what’s in its wallet. Coinbase adds spending caps, or asks you to approve each payment.
Agents need no ETHA wallet with only USDC can pay for x402 services on Base. Gas is covered.
FreeNo fee to create, fund or watch. We charge per call, only at our own services.

1 · Give your agent a wallet

The easiest way is to let Coinbase do it. Your agent gets a wallet, you add money with a card, Apple Pay or your Coinbase account, and Coinbase keeps the keys safe. Tollkit never touches any of it. Pick where your agent runs:

Coinbase Wallet MCP connects your own Coinbase Wallet. Your AI asks, you tap Approve on each payment.

  1. Add a connector named Coinbase Wallet MCP with this address:
    https://mcp.base.org
In Claude you can add it in one click.
  2. Press Connect, then Allow in Coinbase Wallet.
  3. Add Tollkit too (how). When a Tollkit tool asks for payment, you get an Approve link.

Coinbase Agentic Wallet gives the agent its own wallet with spending limits. It pays by itself, up to the limits you set.

  1. Install it (needs Node.js 24 or newer):
    npx skills add coinbase/agentic-wallet-skills
  2. Sign in with your email: npx awal auth login you@example.com, then enter the 6-digit code it sends.
  3. Add money: npx awal show opens the wallet. Press Fund.
  4. Paste its address (npx awal address) below to watch its balance and get low-balance alerts.

2 · Your wallet, for topping up optional

Your own wallet. It pays a fraction of a cent in ETH to send funds; your agents never need ETH.

3 · Watch and top up

Advanced: make agent keys yourself

For developers who want to hold the keys. The keys are made in this browser tab and you must download them — nobody can recover a lost key.

Keys are made in this browser tab and never sent anywhere. This page loads no third-party code and has no analytics.

4 · Fund and refill

Top each agent up to the target. Anything below the floor counts as low. On Base this is two wallet confirmations however many agents you have.

Put in what you'd be annoyed to lose, not what you plan to spend. An agent that reads web pages can be talked into spending by a web page. Its balance is your real limit.

5 · Know when they run low

Pick how you want to hear about it. Tollkit only watches public balances — it never needs a key to tell you an agent is low. You'll sign a message to save: signing is free and moves no money.

Your agent can call check_my_balance on the Tollkit connector (https://extract.tollkit.dev/mcp) and ask you for a top-up before it runs dry.

We POST to your URL, signed so you can prove it's us. Point it at your own script to refill automatically with your key.

A message with a link that opens this page ready to refill. We'll ask you to confirm the address first.

Via tollkit-sms, once carrier verification clears.

Alerts use the Low below amount from step 4, and cover every agent in the list above. You'll hear once when an agent drops below it — not again until it's been refilled.

Coming back later

This page remembers nothing on its own. Your agent list lives in this page's address — bookmark it to come back. Or save a list file: it holds public addresses only, never keys.

Straight answers

Does Tollkit hold my money?
No. Money moves from your wallet to your agents' wallets in transactions you sign. It never passes through an address we control.
Does Tollkit have my agents' keys?
No. With the Coinbase options, Coinbase keeps the keys. If you make keys yourself on this page, they're generated in your browser and downloaded to your computer. Either way we never see them and couldn't recover them if you asked.
What stops an agent overspending?
Arithmetic first: a wallet can't send more than it holds, so to cut an agent off, stop refilling it. Coinbase adds its own guardrails on top — spending caps for Agentic Wallet, and your Approve tap on every payment for Wallet MCP.
Why do I approve an exact amount?
On Base, funding many agents uses Disperse, a widely used public contract, in one transaction. You approve it for exactly this send — never an unlimited amount — so nothing is left standing afterwards.
What does it cost?
Nothing to us. Base charges well under a cent to send, paid from your wallet's ETH.
